Bulgaria Joins World Travel Market in London

09.11.2009

Bulgaria is taking part in a World Travel Market (WTM) 2009 being held in London, November 9-12, the second biggest tourist exhibition in the world and the most important for the country's winter resorts.

The Bulgarian stand will feature representatives and brochures of 15 hoteliers and tour operators. Authorities have announced their ambition to promote Bulgaria as a year-round destination.

To be officially opened by London Mayor Boris Johnson, WTM is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year at a time when travel organisations are worrying about the effect the recession is having on their businesses.

A WTM global travel trends report is being published, while the World Travel & Tourism Council will give details of how it thinks tourism will cope with the economic downturn in 2010.
